Climate

Kauai’s climate is generally mild year-round with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s in April. Lows can drop to the low 60s at times. Poipu is located in one of the driest spots on the island although rain showers can pass through - albeit quickly.

Directions

The village of Poipu is located on the South shore of Kauai - and can be referenced on maps and addresses interchangeably with Koloa, the town located just North of Poipu.

The ceremony and reception locations are located within steps of each other (arrow below).

Driving from LIHUE to Poipu

We recommend renting a car - in advance - from one of the agencies located at the Lihue airport.

Poipu is located just 14 miles from the airport. The one-way trip should take 25 minutes on average. Since Lihue is the largest town on the island, you'll likely encounter rush hour traffic during early morning and late afternoon hours to and from town.
